The funny thing is, it wasn't until recently that I started viewing photoshop as an intermediary for just photos. I've done a lot of "design" work on photoshop, which, in the "design" field is a big no-no. I guess it makes sense. Photoshop = photos. Illustrator = design.
Anyway, last night I had another photoshop phrenzy. I was up pretty late just applying different techniques to different photos from 2006. In some ways, it was appropriate. I looked for photos that were already well taken in their original form and applied different techniques/styles that I've learned in the last year. I'll probably have more on my flickr tomorrow.
One night while we were studying for our wretched Chinese 604 class, he decided to lay down on the floor and read the good green book. Within minutes, he had his shirt off, and the book lying wide open on his naked chest. He was like that for a solid 45 minutes.
Moral of the story? We've come a long way.
Well, this is technically my 3rd. The 1st perk I actually got was 2 tickets to the only SMU football game televised on national television last season. I don't even know who they played. The 2nd perk was free tickets to the deja vu screener which I ended up giving to another employee.
Let's just say this is the first perk that is valued at more than $20.
Went to a wedding recently.
The night before, we were at the church doing the rehearsal. Coming down the aisle with her father, the bride is supposed to be handed off to her soon-to-be after acquiring safe passage from her parentals. One line in the entire ceremony is reserved just for her father; the sacred and precious line that signifies a shift in responsibility. It answers but one question, "Who gives this woman to be wed?"
Throughout the rehearsal, variation after variation kept coming up:
"My wife and me"
"Me and her"
"Myself and her mom"
So...this was written on the hand of the bride's father.
"Her mother & I."
